Our Story & Philosophy

Providing control customization and privacy to PC gamers.

WASDlink Pro was born out of a simple frustration: why does mapping phone controls to a local PC require expensive hardware, complex driver sign-off, or cloud subscription fees?

We saw that existing smartphone controller apps either had massive latency due to round-trip cloud relay routes, or they collected telemetry on keystrokes and user inputs. In response, we built WASDlink Pro: a fast, private, and customizable layout controller that works entirely on your local Wi-Fi router.

Self-Hosted Core

We believe that when you buy software, you should own it. WASDlink Pro uses a self-hosted architecture. The desktop server runs locally on your PC, and the gamepad runs inside your browser. No data is stored in the cloud, no user profiles are generated, and zero telemetry is collected. Your input signals travel at the speed of your router directly to your game.

Open Web Standards

By leveraging standard Progressive Web App (PWA) protocols, WASDlink Pro bypasses app store friction. You can add the controller to your iOS or Android home screen, configure custom layout matrices, and control inputs on the fly. It utilizes native WebSockets (WSS) and HTML5 sensor APIs to achieve low-latency responsiveness without bloating your phone with background processes.

Zero Subscriptions

Our business model is straightforward: we offer a lifetime perpetual license. You pay once, activate the server on up to two computers, and own the code. There are no recurring monthly fees, no paywalled features, and no ads. It is software built by gamers, for gamers.
