Privacy Policy
Last Updated: June 2026
At WASDlink Pro, your privacy is our top priority. Because our software runs directly on your hardware and connects over your own local network, we do not collect, store, or transmit your gaming inputs or personal details to any cloud servers.
1. Local Network Operations (Zero Telemetry)
WASDlink Pro operates as a self-hosted server on your Windows PC and runs the gamepad controller locally inside your phone's web browser. All communications (keystrokes, mouse deltas, joystick coordinates, gyroscope motion signals) travel strictly over your local Wi-Fi subnet. They are never sent to external servers or tracking databases. No telemetry is gathered about your gaming patterns, systems, or games.
2. License Activation & Verification
When you purchase a lifetime perpetual license, we use secure APIs through Dodo Payments to check key validity. During online activation, a hash of your hardware attributes (CPU identifier, Machine GUID) is sent to our verification endpoint to validate the seat limit (max 2 activations). This hash is irreversible (SHA-256) and cannot be used to trace your identity or system files.
3. Offline Mode Tokens
Once activated, our server generates a secure offline token cryptographically signed by our Cloudflare Worker. This token is stored locally in your system configuration directory (%APPDATA%/WASDlinkPro). It allows you to play games fully offline for up to 7 consecutive days without connecting to the validation servers.
4. Web Storage
The mobile controller app saves your custom layouts, sensitivities, and server IP configurations inside your browser's local Web Storage (localStorage). This data remains on your physical phone and is never shared.
5. Security of Local Connections
To access mobile browser features like gyroscopes and standalone PWAs, browsers require secure HTTPS connections. WASDlink Pro generates a unique, self-signed SSL certificate on first startup. All local communications between the phone and PC are encrypted using WSS (Secure WebSockets over TLS) to prevent interception on public or shared home routers.
